2013 Northern Trust Open leaderboard: Americans top early leaderboard
Matt Kuchar finds himself atop the early leaderboard at the 2013 Northern Trust Open, shooting 5-under through his first 12 holes of the tournament.

Kuchar is followed by Brandt Jobe, who is 4-under through 15. Four golfers -- all Americans -- are tied for third at 3-under par. Pat Perez is at 3-under through 14, while Jimmy Walker is at 3-under through nine. Both Robert Streb and Michael Brock are at 3-under through eight.
Golf superstar Phil Mickelson is even par through his first 13 holes of the tournament. 'Lefty' bogeyed three holes on the back nine (11, 12, 18), where he started the day, but birdied twice on the back nine, and once on the front nine (1) so far.
Mickelson was deemed the favorite to win the Northern Trust Open earlier this week, but will have plenty of work to do over the weekend if he’s going to make good on his odds. Sergio Garcia, who was given the second-best odds, has yet to tee off.
