Bill Haas shot day three’s lowest round by far in the 2013 Northern Trust Open, shooting a 64 on moving day. He leads with a score of 12 under par while the next spot on the leader board belongs to Webb Simpson, Charl Schwartzel and John Merrick, who are all tied at nine under par.

Haas’ 64 on Saturday is the lowest scoring round of any golfer so far in the tournament and puts him in good position to win the Northern Trust Open, being played in Pacific Palisades, Calif., for the second year in a row. It was also the last tournament that Haas, 30, won and would be his fifth PGA Tour win. He was seven under par on the day.

Simpson and Schwartzel both had solid performances on Saturday, each finishing the day 3-under par and putting themselves in good position for the fourth and final round. Merrick, who is also tied at 9-under, was just 1-under on the day.

Josh Teater, Charlie Beijan and Hunter Mahan also had big days, as all three finished 3-under par. Teater and Beijan are tied at 7-under, while Mahan is 6-under. Not everyone enjoyed having a great day on Saturday, though. Sang-Moon Bae struggled on Saturday, shooting a 5-over par and dropped 12 spots from No. 1 to No. 13 on Saturday. After shooting an outstanding round of 65 on Friday, he shot a 76 on Saturday. Phil Mickelson shot a 72, 1-over par, on Saturday and dropped from 13th to being tied for 17th at 3-under par.

The winner of the 2013 Northern Trust Open will win $1.2 million and will earn 500 FedEx Cup points. The overall purse for the tournament $6.6 million.

Haas, along with Simpson and Schwartzel, will tea off at 10:30 p.m. on hole 1 on Sunday and the tournament will be broadcast nationally on CBS starting at 3 p.m. ET and will run through 6:30 p.m.
