The fourth and final round of the 2013 Masters is set for Sunday, and plenty will be tuning in after the controversy on Saturday. Tiger Woods, who has been the betting favorite to win the tournament for the entirety of the tournament before Sunday, was given a two-stroke penalty for an illegal drop on Friday. He was assessed the penalty prior to the start of round three on Saturday.
Masters odds 2013: Tiger Woods no longer the favorite
Tiger Woods is no longer the favorite to win the 2013 Masters. Brandt Snedeker has taken the lead as the betting favorite.
After the penalty and a decent round three, Woods finds himself back behind six other players, tied with Tim Clark for seventh place at 3-under for the tournament. Brandt Snedeker and Angel Cabrera hold a first place tie at 7-under, with Adam Scott holding third place at 6-under. The three others in front of Woods are Marc Leishman and Jason Day at 5-under and Matt Kuchar at 4-under.
Woods was the favorite throughout the tournament, even after his two-stroke penalty, but he’s no longer the favorite heading into Sunday’s final round. Now, according to Bovada, Woods is the fourth-favorite at 11/2, with Snedeker being the favorite at 2/1 odds. Cabrera is at 5/1 and Scott at 7/2.
Whether or not Woods will win his fifth green jacket remains to be seen, but he’s no longer the favorite to do so this year. However, he doesn’t trail by an insurmountable number and could definitely make big things happen on Sunday. Check out the full odds here.
