All of the leaders have teed off at Augusta National and a few of the players on the top of the leaderboard are playing well early.
Masters leaderboard 2013: Jason Day, Brandt Snedeker tied for the lead
The 54-hole leaders are now on the course, but Jason Day didn’t waste any time regaining the lead ahead of them.
After closing his third round with two bogeys, Jason Day didn’t waste any time getting a stroke back on Sunday. Day sunk a long birdie putt on the first hole to move to 6-under for the tournament and into third place. After hitting his second shot on No. 2 into a green-side bunker, Day took over the lead at 8-under by chipping in for an eagle.
He didn’t hold the lead long, however, as moments after Day moved to 8-under, Brandt Snedeker birdied the first hole to pull even. Day’s fellow Australian Adam Scott is not off to nearly as good of a start. Scott missed a par putt on the first hole and that bogey dropped him to 5-under overall, three strokes back.
Two-time Masters champion Bernahard Langer opened his round with three-straight birdies to move to 5-under overall. The 55-year-old Langer began the day as the low European, but he is now just two strokes off the pace. Langer nearly gained another stroke as he just missed an eagle on the par-5 second hole, but settled for a tap-in birdie.
Tiger Woods remains in contention, but he has not been sharp in the early going. He was forced to scramble on his first two holes as errant drives put him out of position. He missed a long birdie opportunity on No. 2 and remains 3-under overall.
