Play has continued at Augusta National despite persistent rain and Angel Cabrera continues to play well. He remains in sole possession of the lead and has pushed his advantage to three strokes.
Masters leaderboard 2013: Angel Cabrera still on top at 9-under
The leaders are approaching the turn and Angel Cabrera remains atop the leaderboard.
Cabrera extended his lead with a birdie at No. 7. His approach shot from roughly 150 yards just cleared a green-side bunker but rolled within a couple feet of the pin for an easy tap in birdie. Cabrera has been solid all day with two birdies and five pars through seven holes.
After opening the day birdie-eagle, Jason Day ran into some trouble on the final seven holes of his front nine. A bogey at No. 6 dropped him to 7-under. Day’s tee shot at No. 9 wound up in the pine straw and behind a tree. He punched out to the front green, but his first chip shot came up short and rolled off the green. Day was able to get up-and-down on the second attempt, but the bogey dropped him to 6-under.
Day is tied for second place at 6-under with Adam Scott and Brandt Snedeker. Snedeker is 1-over through seven holes, but has played his best golf on the back nine all week. Three strokes off the lead, he remains within striking distance.
Tiger Woods started the final round slowly, but back-to-back birdies at No. 9 and No. 10 have him back to 3-under overall. Here is a quick look at the top of the leaderboard. The complete leaderboard can be found at Masters.com.
