The 2013 Masters is coming down to the wire and it’s Australian Jason Day leading the way as the players come down the final stretch of the back nine.
Masters leaderboard 2013: Jason Day surges into the lead
The leaders are through Amen Corner and after leading most of the day Angel Cabrera has fallen out of the lead.
With back-to-back birdies at No. 13 and No. 14, Day moved to 3-under on the round and 8-under overall. That moved him into a share of the lead with Angel Cabrera, but moments later Cabrera bogeyed No. 13 to drop to 7-under. Day made it three straight birdies at No. 15 as he moved to 9-under and increased his lead to two strokes.
Cabrera had a two-stroke lead at 9-under, but has faltered some on the back nine. He bogeyed No. 10, then found a water hazard when attempting to go for the green in two at No. 13. Cabrera is tied for second place with Adam Scott who had a chance to tie Day at 8-under on No. 14, but missed a birdie opportunity.
Brandt Snedeker was once tied for the lead, but his putter has faltered down the stretch. Three back nine bogeys dropped Snedeker to 4-under and four strokes off the lead. Tiger Woods is also 5-under as he makes a run to close out his final round.
