2014 Masters odds: Tiger Woods already favored again

Tiger Woods came up short at the 2013 Masters, finishing tied for fourth after suffering a controversial penalty. Now looking ahead, he’s out in front once again as the favorite for 2014.

Tiger Woods was the favorite to win the 2013 Masters all the way up until the final round of play. Looking ahead to next year’s tournament, he’s back on top as the front-runner to capture the green jacket in 2014.

A two-stroke penalty for a controversial drop, that also could have potentially disqualified him, hurt Woods’ chances for this year’s title. He finished at 5-under overall after shooting a 2-under 70 on the last day of play. There’s no telling what would have transpired if he hadn’t suffered the setback.

His return to No. 1 in the world rankings has betting lines feeling confident in his chances these days. Woods is the favorite with 7/1 odds to win the 2014 Masters, according to BetVictor.

Reigning champion Adam Scott sits in third with 16/1 odds to repeat next year. He defeated Angel Cabrera in two-hole playoff Sunday, making him the first Australian to ever win at Augusta.

Rory McIlroy endured a disappointing weekend after finishing tied for 25th at 2-over. His odds for 2014 are set at 12/1, second behind Woods.
