RBC Heritage 2013: Jason Day returns to action

Fresh off a strong showing at the 2013 Masters, Australian Jason Day returns to PGA Tour competition this week at the RBC Heritage.

Last Sunday, PGA Tour young superstar Jason Day was leading the Masters. He was literally two holes away from being the first-ever Australian-born player to win a green jacket, however a mixture of Mother Nature and poor putting wrote a different tournament ending.

Day returns to tournament action this week at the 2013 RBC Hertiage, this time in pursuit of a tartan jacket in South Carolina. When reminiscing on two bogeys at Augusta that spelled his demise, Day remained positive.

“You know, it was really tough. Obviously I think pressure got to me a little bit, and unfortunately I bogeyed those,” Day said. “It’s a little disappointing, but there’s a lot of experience that I can take into next year and hopefully I can wear one of those green jackets soon.”

Day will try his hardest to win a tournament the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player have conquered in years past. Current top golfers who have also donned the tartan jacket include Jim Furyk, Stewart Cink and Davis Love III. Carl Pettersson is the defending champion.
