Graeme McDowell earned 500 points for his win at the RBC Heritage Sunday evening, moving him up to No. 6 overall in the 2013 FedEx Cup standings. McDowell now has four top-10 finishes in seven events played this year.

Prior to the win, McDowell sat at No. 50 in the standings, proving how big of a leap one golfer can make with a notable victory. Even after his successful weekend, though, he is still 902 points back from Tiger Woods, the current leader among the standings. Woods has three PGA Tour wins under his belt so far.

McDowell defeated Webb Simpson in a one-hole playoff at Hilton Head, S.C. The two finished 9-under at the end of the final round. McDowell made his only bogey of the day on the 18th hole to move into a tie, but quickly emerged as the victor after parring the same hole in the playoff. Simpson earned 300 points for his second-place finish, moving him up 21 spots to No. 11 in the standings.

Kevin Streelman, who finished tied for third at the RBC Heritage, moved ahead of Adam Scott for fourth place in the points standings. Here’s the top of the current leaderboard.

1. Tiger Woods, 1,740 points
2. Brandt Snedeker, 1,397
3. Matt Kuchar, 1,069
4. Kevin Streelman, 915
5. Adam Scott, 870
6. Graeme McDowell, 838
7. Phil Mickelson 813
8. Dustin Johnson, 810
9. Steve Stricker, 795
10. Russell Henley, 775
