2013 Valero Texas Open leaderboard: Three tied mid-way through the second round
With the Masters now just days away, a number of players are using this weekend at the Valero Texas Open to get ready for Augusta. With nearly 36 holes of play complete, three players sit atop the leaderboard.

The big mover of Day 2 was Hoffman, who used a strong start and strong finish to his afternoon to shoot a five-under 67, which tied with K.J. Choi for the best score on the afternoon. Hoffman birdied his first three holes and his last two to move into a tie for first-place, after an opening round 71.
Behind the three leaders, five others are tied for fourth place. Those five are Brendon de Jonge, Jim Furyk, Choi, Reteif Goosen, and Ben Kohles, who have all completed play on Friday, and are all a stroke off the pace.
Other notable players include Rory McIlroy, who is at one-under par after nine holes on Friday, and defending champ Ben Curtis who is one-over par after eight holes.
Curtis won the 2012 Valero Open by shooting a nine-under par 279 over the four-day event.
The Valero Open will be the final tune-up before next weekend’s Masters.
