Players Championship leaderboard 2013: Tiger Woods holding onto slim lead

Tiger Woods is looking good on the back nine at The Players Championship, and his opponents need to make a move if they want to catch him.

Tiger Woods is still in control at The Players Championship, and at 14-under par and with only a two-stroke lead, his opponents are running out of opportunities to catch him.

Woods knocked in three birdies and a bogey on the front nine, but has stretched his lead to two strokes after a birdie on the 12th hole. Jeff Maggert is alone in second place behind Tiger at 12-under par, but he’s one hole ahead of Woods on the course so if he wants to make a move, time is running out. Both Woods and Maggert are currently 3-under on the day.

Sergio Garcia has not had his best day on Sunday, but he’s still within striking distance at 11-under par and even par on the day. He’s tied at 11-under with Ryan Palmer, Henrik Stenson, Kevin Streelman and David Lingmerth.

The two best rounds of the day so far belong to Jimmy Walker and Martin Laird, who both entered the clubhouse with 5-under par 67s. Laird is close behind the leaders at 10-under, and Walker finished the tournament at 6-under. Streelman is also at 5-under for the day, but is still on the course.

Here’s a snapshot of the top of the leaderboard:
