Charl Schwartzel shot an opening-round 65 (7-under) at the 2013 Memorial Tournament to take a lead into the clubhouse at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Schwartzel rebounded nicely from a double-bogey on his eighth hole to make birdie on six of his final 10 holes of the day. He just edged out Scott Piercy, who bogeyed his final hole of the day to fall to 6-under, one shot back from Schwartzel.

Plenty of golfers are still in play. Charlie Stroud, Bill Haas and Trevor Immelman are currently hovering near the top of the leaderboard at 4-under through hole Nos. 16, 15 and 12, respectively. Tiger Woods is at 1-under after 12 holes. He hit bogey on No. 12 to drop from 2-under on the day.

Further back, Brandt Snedeker notably struggled, shooting even-par. Rory McIlroy sits even closer to the bottom after shooting 6-over through 18 holes.
