Billy Horschel won’t move around Merion Golf Club unnoticed in Sunday’s finale of the U.S. Open, that’s for sure.
U.S. Open 2013: Billy Horschel unveils octopus pants at Merion
Ready or not, Billy Horschel’s octopus pants will be front and center in Sunday’s final round of the U.S. Open.

The winner of the this year’s Zurich Classic who found every green in regulation on Friday promised he would don a pair of octopus pants on Sunday. Starting at 1-over, just two shots back of 54-hole leader Phil Mickelson, his Ralph Lauren duds will be hard to miss, no matter how much you may wish to avert your eyes.

Hey, BillyHo’s trousers are in way better taste than whatever that color scheme was that Hunter Mahan threw on in the dark for Saturday’s round (above).
On the course, the 26-year-old from Florida has one of the hotter hands this week, hitting 71 percent of fairways and 78 percent of greens in regulation since Thursday. He rolled into Philadelphia fresh off a T10 at last week’s FedEx St. Jude Classic, has six top 10s this season, and ranks 17th on tour in strokes gained-putting, an all-important stat when it comes to winning a U.S. Open.
