For the first time since the middle of Saturday’s third round, Jason Dufner is alone at the top of the 2013 PGA Championship. Currently 10-under for the tournament, he’s one stroke ahead of Jim Furyk.
PGA Championship leaderboard 2013: Jason Dufner takes over the lead
Jason Dufner is back on top at the PGA Championship after back-to-back birdies.

Dufner got off to a steady start with three pars to open his round. Those pars included a couple nice par-saving putts, a good sign after he had issues with similar putts earlier in the tournament. He went for the Par 5 fourth hole in two and hit a fairway wood through the green. A good chip shot back gave him a good birdie try and he converted to join Furyk in a tie for the lead.
On Saturday, Dufner ran into trouble at No. 5 and carded a double bogey. He had no such issues this time around, drilling a driver into the middle of the fairway. Dufner then stuck his approach shot into the green and finished off the birdie putt to move to 10-under. No. 5 is playing as the hardest hole on the course during the final round, with Dufner’s birdie being just the 10th of the day.
Furyk is one stroke behind at 9-under, with Henrik Stenson two back at 8-under. Those three are beginning to separate themselves from the rest of the leaderboard.
