2014 Masters odds: Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott enter as favorites

The biggest tournament of the year begins Thursday, with the headliner missing but others ready to go.

As the 2014 Masters prepares to get underway, the latest odds are projecting a two-way tie for favorite with the defending player of the year, Tiger Woods, missing from the field. Both Adam Scott and Rory McIlroy sit atop the current field leading up to Thursday’s opening round.

According to Bovada, both Scott and McIlroy are looking at 10/1 odds. Both have won majors before, with Scott winning at last year’s Masters and McIlroy taking the U.S. Open in 2011 and PGA Championship in 2012. Three-time winner Phil Mickelson follows next at 12/1, although it should be noted that Mickelson finished a disappointing 54th overall in last year’s Masters tournament.

Below is a table with the top odds heading into the Masters, along with some notable long shots:

Adam Scott 10/1
