Jimmy Fallon tattoos Justin Timberlake’s name on his (golf) balls

Jimmy Fallon busts Justin Timberlake’s um, stuff, with his personalized golf balls.

Jimmy Fallon’s enthusiasm for the game got him to the cover of Golf Digest. Now “The Tonight Show” host is engaged on Twitter in a one-ups-man-ship match play with another noted links devotee, Fallon’s buddy, Justin Timberlake.

Seems the former Saturday Night Live comic purchased some golf balls he customized with “J. Timberlake” imprinted on them so if he loses them in gnarly places far from the fairway, he’ll just leave them there so unsuspecting players will believe his multi-hyphenated (performance artist-actor-former PGA Tour golf tournament host) celebrity pal is as bad at the game as they are.

Not to be outwitted, Timberlake jumped into the fray with a quick comeback.

Fallon has featured golf during his late-night gigs, and got a particular kick out of schooling Tiger Woods in the 14-time major champion’s own video game, EA Sports’ Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10.

As for his personalized golf balls, cover-boy Fallon disclosed the plan to Golf Digest earlier this month.

“Timberlake doesn’t know this, but I thought of a good bit. You know how you can personalize your golf balls? Well, I ordered some balls that say J. Timberlake,” he said in an interview with the publication. “I’m gonna play all the courses that he plays so when I shank them into the woods, people will find them and think he hit them there.”
