It’s not uncommon for the local wildlife to interrupt play on the PGA Tour. This year alone, we’ve have alligators, otters, ducks, and squirrels get involved. And now we have our first interruption due to a turtle, which Jonathan Byrd needed moved on the green at the par-5 16th hole. Photo from Golf Digest’s Alex Myers:

Update: Myers has the crazy backstory of Byrd’s caddie running ahead up to the green to get the turtle out of the way for his approach shot.
Perhaps the most memorable incident of wildlife interference came at this venue in 1998, when a sea gull scooped up a golf ball and promptly dropped it in the water surrounding the island 17th green.
