Kevin Stadler puts golf ball on a string, holes out for eagle at Pinehurst

This is the definition of putting your golf ball on a string.

Kevin Stadler hit the shot of the day so far during the second round of the U.S. Open, holing out from about 85 yards on the short par-4 13th. It’s a hole that’s only 383 yards, an incredibly short par-4 for the pros.

The course was softened up after a heavy but quick downpour overnight, so the greens are a little more receptive to stopping and spinning the ball. But the way he drew it in there, then yanked it back down to the protected front-left pin location is amazing.
