Travelers Championship 2014: Tee times, TV schedule, online streaming for Sunday’s round

With a course set up for low scoring and 18 players beginning the round within five strokes of the lead, it should be an eventful final round from TPC River Highlands.

Jim Rogash

Ryan Moore will open Sunday with the lead at the Travelers Championship, but he will have his work cut out for him if he’s going to hold on and notch his second win of the season. Moore will open the lead at 13-under with a crowded leaderboard chasing him. The list of contenders includes Aaron Baddeley at 12-under, Sergio Garcia at 11-under and Harris English at 8-under.

In all, 24 players will begin the final round at 7-under or better. While the players more than a few strokes off the lead have plenty of ground to make up, the TPC River Highlands setup is conducive to low scores, allowing players to make a charge. Two of the last four winners at the Travelers Championship began the final round six off the lead, according to Justin Ray of Golf Channel. With the way the course has played this week, it will likely take a score in the mid-to-low 60s to come away with the win on Sunday. The Travelers Championship is typically one of the better scoring tournaments on the Tour, and that has been the case this week with the winning total likely finishing in the mid-to-upper teens below par. There will be plenty on the line on Sunday with the purse increased to $6.2 million, including a $1.116 million prize for the winner.

Moore will be joined by Baddeley in the final pairing on Sunday, with the two scheduled to tee off at 2 p.m. ET. Garcia will play in the second-to-last group, paired with K.J. Choi. The final four groups will all tee off after the television coverage begins, meaning viewers will be able to see the majority of key shots live as they happen. Dustin Johnson, who is 7-under, will tee off at 12:10 p.m. He’s one of the players who could play himself into contention with a strong final round, as a few early birdies before the late groups tee off could put some pressure on the leaders.

Golf Channel and CBS will combine on the final round television coverage with both networks also providing online simulcast streams. Golf Channel’s live coverage will begin at 1 p.m. and run until 2:30 p.m. There will be a 30-minute gap in coverage while the networks switch over before CBS picks up coverage at 3 p.m. Golf Channel will offer a live simulcast stream from Golf LiveExtra while CBS’ coverage can be streamed at CBSSports.com. PGATour.com will allow viewers to watch a bit of extended coverage with a live featured hole stream featuring Nos. 15 and 16. The stream will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET.

PGA Tour Network on Sirius-XM will provide final-round radio coverage from noon to 6 p.m.
