Just a few days ago, I highlighted how the Euro Tour and European golf have made a habit of trying to put these trick shot videos together. It was the Phil Mickelson flop shot challenge last week in Scotland, now we have Paddy Harrington playing a golf hole with a blindfold on. He started trying to get off the tee with the Happy running pass at the ball. He was successful, but only after one failed attempt and some wild caddie shenanigans.
The highlight of this blindfolded endeavor, however, came on an approach shot from 135 yards and through a small opening between two trees. Harrington tried all manner of shots up and over and around and through to get on the green. Several came close, but none closer than a punch which rolled right in the jar.
Paddy is a three-time major winner and world class golfer. And it helps to have your caddie there guiding you a bit. But still, holing out blindfolded is reminder just how insanely good most pros are compared to us chops.
The Irishman has won back-to-back Opens and will compete again this year at Hoylake, but this will likely be the highpoint of his week.
