Rickie and Rory have a history -- one that includes ridiculous pleated pants

There are still a few holes left in the third round, but it appears that Sunday at the British Open feature the Rickie and Rory show. The two have separated themselves on the leaderboard at the moment, briefly holding a share of the lead before the Ulsterman jumped back in front.

The two are often hailed as the faces of golf for the next generation, one from each side of the Atlantic. Fowler does not have the same record at majors, but he has gotten the best of McIlroy in the past. There was that thrilling playoff at Quail Hollow, site of Fowler’s only PGA Tour win. But their history goes way back to their amateur days, playing in the Walker Cup for each respective side. Mike Walker of Golf.com pulled this old photo and, well, a lot has changed for both.
