Rickie Fowler’s hair is now ready for the Ryder Cup

It is officially now Ryder Cup week, and Rickie Fowler set a nice patriotic tone Sunday evening when he tweeted out his new haircut for the matches in Scotland. Fowler has one of the most-discussed coifs on the PGA Tour, so it’s fitting that he changed it up and did something for the all-important Ryder Cup.

The American team was set to travel over the Atlantic together in their private charter this weekend, so Fowler probably had this done late last week before they left. Now we just want to see if Jim Furyk or maybe Phil Mickelson from the 40-and-over crowd follows suit in a show of team unity. We know Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia won’t be getting a big ol’ “Europe” shaved into the side of their heads.

This is Fowler’s second Ryder Cup. He made his first appearance in 2010 over in Wales, so he has yet to play in front of the home crowd. He was just 21-years old then and, well, he looked a bit different.
