The back nine on Sunday at Augusta is wonderful. But the first tee at the Ryder Cup is the best atmosphere in golf. It’s unlike anything else in the sport, and comes the closest to the scene at other sporting events.
They were expecting over 2,500 in the grandstands alone. And with around 40,000 on the grounds, the first hole at the first match is 10-15 people deep on the ropes around the entire hole. There’s absolutely nothing that comes close in the sport.
