The Ryder Cup had been over for more than an hour, but the final few matches just needed to wrap up. The European side was at the ready with the champagne as soon as the last match, which didn’t matter, ended on the 18th green.
Rory McIlroy’s bottle, however, couldn’t wait for the USA’s Zach Johnson to putt out and finish. It just had to uncork itself so the No. 1 player in the world could start partying.
