— Golf Betting Brain (@GolfBetting12) October 1, 2015 Els’ “worst putt of all time” came during the first round of the Dunhill Links Championship where the four-time major champion carded an even-par 72. Had he tapped that shorty in, he would be sharing 68th place rather than 90th.
As it was, Els hoped to get his flat stick to behave on Friday, when he was scheduled to start eight shots back of a trio of co-leaders that included Paul Dunne.
Dunne, the amateur who had a share of the 54-hole lead at the British Open in July at St. Andrews, introduced himself to the professional ranks by making an ace on the par-3 15th on the Old Course on his way to an opening 64.
