Watch Dustin Johnson and J.B. Holmes ace the same hole within minutes of each other

This is one way to stay at the top of the leaderboard at Doral.

While the PGA Tour boasts the best players on the planet, holes-in-one are still pretty uncommon from week-to-week. Even more rare are multiple aces on the same hole in the same round. That happened Saturday afternoon at the WGC-Cadillac Championship when both Dustin Johnson and J.B. Holmes hit perfect shots into the 207-yard par-3 fourth (the last time the same hole was aced in the same round came at the 2013 Barclays).

Adding to the amazing stretch is that both aces came from two of the final three groups of the day at Doral, almost back-to-back. Holmes has lead the entire tournament since that ridiculous opening round 62, which will undoubtedly go down as the round of the year on the PGA Tour. The eagle put Holmes at 10-under and still well in front, but DJ is also tied for second and in contention. It’s not often you get an ace from the leader late in the tournament. As Jason Sobel pointed out, only 24 players in the history of the Tour have used an ace on their way to winning a tournament.
