Watch a 14-year-old Jordan Spieth talk about winning the Masters
He’s lost some hair and gained some weight since this video, but Jordan Spieth starts Sunday as the heavy favorite to fulfill a goal he’s dreamed about since he was a child.

Jordan Spieth has been one of the the top American golf prospects since he was a teenager. His name rang out nationally when he first competed in a PGA Tour event as a 16-year-old golfer who made the cut and finished 16th. And because he’s just 21 now, there’s a library of video out there on the Internet of a young Spieth playing golf and discussing his future. But this clip of a 14-year-old Spieth saying his ultimate goal is to win the Masters on a day he starts the final round at Augusta with a four-shot lead is pretty damn cool.
We see many teenage golf prospects come and go without ever making a dent on the PGA Tour. But in his first two Masters, Spieth has played in the final Sunday pairing both times. This year may be his best shot, but he’s going to be a fixture at Augusta for decades.
