2015 Masters: Schedule, TV coverage, online streaming for Tuesday at Augusta National

Opening Day and the NCAA Tournament are over -- let’s watch Tiger practice at the Masters!

Masters week is only one day old but there’s already been plenty of chaos and drama thanks to the public return of Tiger Woods.

The four-time green jacket winner hopped off his private jet late Monday afternoon, went straight to Augusta, and promptly started hitting chip shots for everyone to see. It was a bold move for Woods, who was last seen embarrassing himself trying to make those same shots. Every time he went back to make a pitch shot, you clenched up and cringed at the potential for a ghastly chunk or skulled ball across the practice area. But nope, Tiger hit about 70 pitch shots without incident and with headphones blaring some sort of jam that had him moving in between shots.

After enthusiastically hugging it out with several of his bros -- Darren Clarke, Mark O’Meara, and former coach Sean Foley -- Woods departed to the first tee to play a practice round. And by all accounts, it was almost flawless and a complete reversal from everything we’ve watched out of Tiger this year. One Augusta writer said the first nine could have been a 30. The drives were bombed and his irons were pure.

So yes, the Masters can actually be worth watching before the tournament starts. There will be even more coverage from the grounds on Tuesday. Golf Channel will have their excellent Live From show running the entire day. Anything Tiger does on the practice range should be in front of the camera again.

Woods is also set to hold his first press conference since early February and that abrupt 11-hole stay at Torrey Pines. Tuesday is usually the day that Tiger meets the media in the press room, and he’s expected to hit the dais around 1 p.m. ET. Rory McIlroy is supposed to follow him early in the afternoon.

Both Golf Channel’s Live From show and ESPN’S SportsCenter are scheduled to show the press conferences throughout the afternoon. CBS Sports Network will also have its On The Range show from Noon to 2 p.m. with interviews of players as they come and go from the driving range. For there being no actual competitive shots, it’s not that bad a day to tune in and watch all the pre-tournament coverage.
