Masters 2015: TV coverage, schedule, live streaming for Wednesday at Augusta

The Par-3 Contest headlines the third days of Masters week.

Following two days of practice rounds, press conferences and time spent at the chipping green, things will get a little more competitive at Augusta National on Wednesday with the Par-3 Contest scheduled for the afternoon. The annual competition is the final pre-tournament event before the strokes count for real starting on Thursday.

While the Par-3 Contest isn’t the competition players are hoping to win, it’s still usually quite the attraction. Many current and former greats will participate in the event, which dates back to 1960. This year, that will include Tiger Woods, who is planning to tee it up in the Par-3 Contest for the first time since 2004. His kids will be serving as caddies, joining many players who use the event as a chance to spend time with their families ahead of the first round on Thursday.

Players will take to the Par-3 course in the early afternoon with the first tee time scheduled for just before noon (ET). The event will run until about 5 p.m. with coverage from ESPN scheduled to run from 3 to 5 p.m. Coverage will also be available online. Before participating in some friendly competition, many players will use the morning as a last chance to either hit the course or fine tune their game. CBS Sports Network will continue with it’s coverage from the practice area with Masters on the Range scheduled to air form 9 to 11 a.m. with accompanying broadcasts on CBSSports.com and Masters.com.

Golf Channel will also provide coverage leading up to the Par-3 Contest with Live From the Masters, which is scheduled to air from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Coverage will then pick back up with a second airing of the show from 6 to 9 p.m. All told, viewers can watch some sort of live coverage from Augusta from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
