Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player walk down Magnolia Lane in this amazing photo
One of the biggest reasons why Masters week is so special.

The reverence for Augusta National traditions and the Masters can become a suffocating bit of treacle. But, unquestionably, one of the best parts of Masters week is that it brings the legends of the game together in full public view. That doesn’t happen at other majors and other golf tournaments.
In no other week do Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player hang out in public and even hit a few golf shots, like they do here for the Par-3 Contest and as honorary starters on Thursday morning. We don’t know how many more years this will go on with these three -- hopefully for a few more decades. But this is definitely a part of the week I will continue to enjoy and make me a giddy sucker for the traditions of the Masters.
I was stunned by a photo of the three of them out walking around Amen Corner last year, and this one of the trio as they went down Magnolia Lane was nearly as striking.
