We’re underway at Augusta National, and the “Big Three” got things started Thursday morning as they usually do. There was some doubt about whether Arnold Palmer would make it to the first tee this year. He fell late in 2014 and separated his shoulder, which has kept him from swinging a club for most of 2015. He didn’t participate in the Par 3 Contest on Wednesday, but he was adamant about popping that Masters 2015 ceremonial tee shot, telling Steve Sands “You’re damn right I will be there!“ on Wednesday morning.

This is always one of the coolest scenes of the golf season.

The crowd included several past players and current players, including Rickie Fowler and Keegan Bradley. Even the defending champ strolled down to watch in his green jacket.

And of course Gary Player poked it and still looks like he will be doing this for another 25 years. Those 1,000 sit-ups a day are paying off for the most fit 79-year-old in golf.
