The Mechanic just needs some extra motivation when taking aim at the par-3s.

The Open de España is Miguel Angel Jimenez’s week to shine, and the Spanish legend put on a show Friday for the locals.
It seems like Jimenez has been holing out or making aces monthly for the past couple years, and he dialed one in again at the par-3 8th to match Colin Montgomerie’s all-time European Tour record of nine holes-in-one. It’s his second of this season. And when Miguel makes an ace or holes out from the fairway, there will be dancing. His prior moves from the past year:

In addition to matching the Euro record for aces, the Mechanic also came away with 288 bottles of beer (which is also par for the week at Real Club de Golf El Prat). As the Euro Tour broadcasters noted, this is the second time Jimenez has won a haul of alcohol for making a hole-in-one. He holed out in Portugal a few years ago and won 100 bottles of wine. That’s not a coincidence -- you just need to give Miguel some extra motivation, because as we all know, he abides by a “water is for fish” credo. Bless you, Miguel.
