Bubba Watson hit a shot so bad, even shot tracer was confused

That wasn’t ideal.

Fox is leaning heavily on its shot tracer technology to give viewers an even more detailed look at how the field is faring at the U.S. Open. Sometimes it shows just how brilliant a good shot is. But when it goes bad, well, the results can be comical.

That was the case with Bubba Watson’s tee shot at No. 12 which was just a touch off line.

Let’s take a closer look at that.

Watson isn’t the first player to have the shot tracer show some embarrassing results. Tiger Woods ran into the same issues on Thursday. Neither, however, were quite this bad.
