It’s not uncommon on the modern PGA Tour to see players now warm up on the driving range, short game area, and putting green with their headphones on listening to music. It’s mostly the millennial set, but even Tiger Woods bounced on the Augusta National range in between shots earlier this year. Will Wilcox, a lesser-known pro in just his second full season on the PGA Tour, is one of those younger players who apparently likes to have music accompany his warm-up.
Drake is now causing driving range beef on the PGA Tour
Jordan Spieth may be going for the grand slam, but this is the story of the year so far on the PGA Tour.

It’s unclear how Wilcox was listening to Drake last week at the Travelers Championship -- were headphones in and just too loud or did he have his speaker going right there on the range? (We’ve reached out to his representatives for comment and more specifics.) But it is clear that it caused a problem with Brendan Steele, a more tenured Tour pro. The two had an entertaining Twitter exchange Tuesday morning on the issue:
Beef! Drake! Passive-aggressive hashtags!
It’s all there and it’s all so very un-golf. We need more of this.
