Justin Rose had about as eventful an 18th hole par to force a playoff as you’ll ever see.

Justin Rose needed a par at the 18th of the Memorial to force a playoff, but that was just one of his worries on his adventure to the green. After a wayward drive right into a fairway bunker, Rose tried to smoke a full swing rope out of the sand. The result was a shank that plunked a fan directly in the side of the head.
Fortunately, the man was OK. Rose checked on him when he got up to his ball and he appeared in good spirits.
From there, Rose had to gather himself and try to make an extremely difficult up-and-down from an awful lie to save his par. He pulled off a miracle pitch-out to convert the par.

An update on the fan from Jason Sobel:
Spoke with the man felled by Justin Rose's bunker shot. Underwent concussion protocol. Bump on his forehead, but he's back on his feet now.
