Tiger Woods holds ‘history’ in emotional video that will get you ready for the British Open

Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, and Arnold Palmer emote about what it means to hold the Open Championship’s Claret Jug, golf’s most famous trophy.

Tiger Woods, in a moving new commercial to kick off the buildup to Open Championship week, says of the tournament’s Claret Jug that, “It means you’re holding history.”

Woods, who has three of the prized trophies, joins Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Phil Mickelson, and Rory McIlroy among some of the biggest names in golf to share his emotions about what it means to hoist the British Open hardware.

“It’s the sexiest trophy in sport,” says Greg Norman, while Gary Player quips that he would choose the fabled ewer over his wife.
