British Open live stream 2015: How to watch Monday’s round online

The 2015 British Open is set up for an exciting finish with several players within a couple strokes of the lead. Jason Day holds a share of the 54-hole lead as he tries to win the first major championship of his career. Amateur Paul Dunne also has a share of the lead, the first time an amateur has held the third-round lead since 1927. Oh yeah, Jordan Spieth is just one stroke off the lead as he attempts to win a third straight major and keep the grand slam hope alive.

The combination of story lines and deep leaderboard should make for a memorable final round at St. Andrews — that is, for those who are able to watch. With weather forcing delays on Friday and Saturday, the final round of the Open Championship had to be moved to Monday. That will make it a challenge for those who have to go to work, but fortunately, there will be a few options to watch the round, including multiple online streams.

A total of 14 players will begin the final round within three strokes of the lead. Another 11 are either four or five strokes off the pace. Spieth is the biggest story, but he’s only one of a host of notable names in contention. Louis Oosthuizen is also tied for the lead with Day and Dunne. Padraig Harrington is two back. Sergio Garcia, Adam Scott, Justin Rose and Zach Johnson are among the group at 9-under. Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed and Rickie Fowler are 7-under. It’s an absolutely loaded leaderboard.

To make the round even more intriguing, weather conditions are supposed to be ideal, which should set up for another day of low scores. Players made birdies fast and furiously on Sunday as many carded rounds in the mid-60s. If it’s similar on Sunday, it might be a race to 15 or 16-under to win.

ESPN will once again provide extensive television coverage, but those at work may need to rely on the online streams. Viewers won’t have as many options as they did earlier in the tournament with no featured group or hole streams. Instead, there will be three simulcast streams. Viewers can watch the ESPN television coverage via a simulcast live stream from WatchESPN. There will also be streams of the Spanish feed and the International BBC coverage.

The round is scheduled to get underway early Monday morning with players teeing off before 3 a.m. ET. The late groups will step to the No. 1 tee later in the morning, most after 8 a.m. with the final pairing scheduled to tee off at 9:30 a.m. Assuming weather conditions are not a factor, the Claret Jug should be hoisted sometime around 2 p.m.
