Tiger Woods can’t get a pity laugh after airball joke at Whistling Straits

As a standup comedian, Tiger Woods is a terrific golfer.

Tiger Woods may not quite be ready to hang up his spikes, but when he does he’ll have several post-golf career options: restaurateur and golf course designer, to name just two.

Replacing Jon Stewart on The Daily Show is not one of them, as this awkward repartee during Woods’ Tuesday press conference ahead of Thursday’s PGA Championship painfully illustrates:

That “someone just give me a pity chuckle” smile has to be the presser equivalent of leaving a high-five hanging (we’re looking at you, Tom Brady).
