Shane Lowry and Davis Love III drain aces minutes apart at the Masters

The jolly Irishman and the USA Ryder Cup captain ace the 16th within minutes of each other.

Shane Lowry provided our first ace of the 2016 Masters, dropping one in the hole at the par-3 16th. That’s the 16th hole-in-one at the 16th hole in the tournament’s history, but the first in four years.

The Sunday pin location is easier to access and if you throw it up on the ridge and let it feed back down to the cup, it is certainly the best chance for an ace on the course on Sunday. Lowry is one of the most enjoyable and humorous guys in pro golf and this is his first ace in the United States.

Just two groups later, the extremely popular Davis Love III provoked the loudest roars of the week down at the 16th.
