Lydia Ko -- the best golfer on the planet -- spends a day at the Masters

The No. 1 player in the world drops in on Augusta National.

Lydia Ko had a day at Augusta National beyond even the imagination of the No. 1 woman golfer in the world.

After winning the season’s first major last month for her second straight major and going back-to-back in LPGA Tour events, the 18-year-old phenom said she was excited to head to Augusta to pick up her golf writers’ Player of the Year award.

What a day for the “youngest ever” to achieve just about everything in golf. She kicked off her day by watching the guys practice for Thursday’s start to the 2016 Masters and meeting some of the biggest PGA Tour stars of this generation ...

… and any generation.

In her travels across the hallowed grounds, Ko made like any fan, flouting one of the green jackets’ many rules.

The highlight of the day’s festivities was donning the sparkling white Masters caddie jumpsuit to loop for fellow South Korean-born Kevin Na during the annual Par 3 Contest.

Ko even got to hit a shot on the short course — no surprise, to three feet of the pin on No. 9 — before exchanging her caddie garb for cocktail-party attire more appropriate for the Golf Writers Association of America’s yearly awards dinner.

As the 2015 Female PoY, Ko gave an acceptance speech …

… and received high praise from her male counterpart, Jordan Spieth.

All in all, a pretty sweet way to celebrate being the best golfer on the planet.

Amazing experience ⛳️ #ThankYou #augustanational #masters
