Ian Poulter executes perfect helicopter club toss after shanking shot

When you hit an awful shank, this is the way to react in the moment.

Ian Poulter is no Webb Simpson when it comes to in-tournament shanks, but he does have a little bit of a history of launching hosel rockets. The Englishman, often a heckling target of the American crowds on the PGA Tour, has been playing well enough at the Masters. He’s hovered right around or inside the top 10 for most of the first two days but this mess of a swing at the 14th hole may undo that in a hurry.

It was an ugly swing, but he gets high marks for the perfect follow-through club toss. That is just good form.
