Bubba Watson’s trick shot skills are ready for the U.S. Open

A lot has been made about the difficulty of Oakmont ahead of the U.S. Open, with the long, thick rough and lightning-fast greens the biggest topics of conversation. Neither appear to be a problem for Bubba Watson, at least when it comes to making trick shots.

Even getting the ball to pop up out of that rough is a challenge. Just getting to the point where he flipped it back to himself and caught it out of that thick stuff was impressive enough. Casually tossing it on the perfect line and having it find the bottom of the cup on those greens is quite the feat.

If Watson is even close to that good out of the rough this week, he’s a strong contender to take home the trophy.
