The weather is so bad at the U.S. Open, 6 spectators took cover in a single porta potty

When the weather is good, being a spectator at a major golf tournament is a lot of fun. When the weather is bad, however, things like this happen.

Yes, that is six adults huddled in a porta potty. Spending 30 seconds in a porta potty by yourself is a bad enough experience. Huddling in one during a rain delay that continued for nearly four hours with five other people seems a whole lot worse than getting rained on (although still worth it to avoid lightning).

Golf courses like Oakmont are set up well to accommodate thousands of spectators in watching golf. They are not set up so well to provide thousands of spectators cover from the weather. The result is this. Weather delays are the worst.
