2016 U.S. Open weather forecast: Oakmont weather improving for the weekend

After rain washed out part of round one of the 2016 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, weather will improve for the rest of the weekend.

Rain suspended the first round of the 2016 U.S. Open Thursday afternoon at Oakmont Country Club. 79 players never made it to the first tee. The good news is the weather forecast for the rest of the tournament is dry and nice. There may be a few rain showers scattered Friday morning but overall the rest of the weekend is going to see lots of sunshine and temperatures in the low 80s

FRIDAY -- SECOND ROUND WEATHER FORECAST
There’s a small chance of a shower in the morning but the day and most, if not all, of the second round should be dry. Temperatures near 80 in the afternoon with a northeast wind around 5 to 10 mph. (The tournament is wrapping the first round before moving to the second round in the afternoon.)

SATURDAY -- THIRD ROUND WEATHER FORECAST
The weekend starts of with plenty of sunshine. Morning temperatures will be in the upper 50s to near 60 but warming into the low 80s by the afternoon. Winds will be light and variable between calm and 5 mph.

SUNDAY -- FOURTH ROUND WEATHER FORECAST
Sunday will be the same as Saturday. Lots of sunshine, morning temperatures near 60 and afternoon temperatures in the low 80s. Winds will again be light and variable.
