Flooding at the Greenbrier Classic shows the terrifying conditions in West Virginia

@bubbawatson

West Virginia has been hit with horrific storms that have already cost 20 people their lives and left thousands of others without power. Heavy rainfall lasted 6-8 hours and prompted the National Weather Service to call it a “one-in-a-thousand-year event.”

West Virginia is also home to the Old White TPC which is set to host the Greenbrier Classic in two weeks. The current state of the golf course shows just how devastating the floods have been. Bubba Watson was at the course on Friday and posted a photo and a video of the conditions.

Getting the course ready for a PGA Tour competition in two weeks seems unlikely at best based on the current situation. That is also of little concern considering how many people have been impacted by the storm and the fact officials fear the death toll could still be on the rise.
