Poor Ernie duffs one right into a pot bunker;


A links course at The Open can present you with a wide variety of lies, one of which is a tight lie up around a green that demands a delicate chip shot. You’ll see many players bump-and-run their ball around a links course, but Ernie Els did not have that option here with a pot bunker right in front of him.
So he tried to pop it up and over the bunker, and run it toward the cup. Instead, he popped it over, and then back into the bunker. Poor Ernie.
