Steve Stricker needed a massive search party to find his ball in the rough

Steve Stricker was playing really good golf on Friday afternoon at The Open despite challenging weather conditions. Then it all unraveled. It’s never a good sign when you need more than 20 people to help you find your golf ball.

To make matters worse, Stricker hit two balls off the tee and that massive search party struggled to find either. Eventually the group was able to find his second ball. Unfortunately, that didn’t end the issues for Stricker on the hole. After punching out, he found more thick rough. Eventually he was able to tap in for a quadruple bogey.

Having made 14 straight pars, Stricker was doing extremely well to stay in the mix at 4-under overall. And just like that, he was even-par and 10 shots off the lead.
