Phil Mickelson got off to a no good, really bad, downright terrible start to the second round of the PGA Championship on Friday. The problems all started off the tee on No. 1.

Mickelson not only pushed his drive left and out of bounds, but he pushed it so far left it ended up bounding along some residential streets.
Unfortunately for Lefty, that was only the start of the troubles. After taking a penalty, he hit his second drive. This one was pulled way right and came to rest along the cart bath. His fourth shot was an even worse hook, and went soaring right of the green and long. It ended up in someone’s backyard, literally.
Mickelson got a free drop, but was still in the trees. He was forced to punch out just to get out of trouble. Then after chipping up and making a short putt, the damage was finally over with a triple-bogey seven.
It’s never a good sign when two of your shots on shot tracker barely fit on the map.
On the bright side, at least Mickelson is doing his part to make sure a lot of spectators leave the PGA Championship with souvenirs. Assuming they can find them.
