We’re still waiting on half of the Final Four to be determined in the NCAA tournament, but we’re already there at the WGC Dell Match Play in Austin.
WGC Dell Match Play 2017: Tee times, TV channel, and live stream for Sunday
We’re in the final four in Austin, and two huge heavyweights of the game remain.

The 16-man single elimination bracket was cut down to four over a double session of matches on Saturday, and now we’ll go from four to one with the same double session on Sunday.
It’s an international group remaining at Austin Country Club, with two Americans, a Spaniard, and the unknown underdog Hideto Tanihara from Japan. It’s not a perfect final four comprised of blue blood heavyweights, but there’s a ton of potential. The world No. 1 is still here and zeroing in on his third straight win ahead of the Masters.
Dustin Johnson has never made it to the semifinal stages of this event, both in the old 64-man single elimination format or under the new round robin pool play setup. But he’s the best player in the world right now and has looked unstoppable over the last four days.
The biggest challenger to DJ’s cruise to a third straight win is Jon Rahm, a younger DJ-esque talent. Rahm gave DJ a scare at the last WGC in Mexico, shooting up the leaderboard to pull even before relenting in the final stretch to the world No. 1.
Rahm is just 22 years old and going to win a lot of PGA Tour events over the next few decades. But since he turned pro last summer and immediately contended at Congressional, he’s shown he can compete in the deepest events each and every week on the most competitive tour in the world.
Like DJ, he murders the ball off the tee. That’s the ideal final on Sunday afternoon and one that would have us drooling over the ProTracer lines off the tee. Haas and Tanihara, well, they’re the complementary pieces here. They’re obviously world-class talents, but they’re not exactly going to move the needle; no disrespect.
NBC would be thinking about flexing in the final round of the Puerto Rico Open should that end up being the final. Here’s your schedule for the first session on Sunday (all times ET):
Sunday — Final four match schedule
10 a.m. — Jon Rahm (6) vs. Bill Haas (11)
10:12 a.m. — Dustin Johnson (1) vs. Hideto Tanihara (14)
The afternoon schedule for the two matches in the next round (finals, consolation, third-place match) will be out at the conclusion of the morning session. They’re targeting a 7 p.m. finish on NBC, so expect those two matches to start at 3 p.m. ET.
