2017 Masters odds: Dustin Johnson is your new favorite at Augusta National

Three wins in his last three starts coming into Augusta. It’s hard to bet against DJ right now.

It’s hard to bet against the world’s best player when he’s clicking like this.

After another dominating performance in Austin, the world’s best player is your current favorite when the world’s eyes turn to Augusta for the Masters next week. Dustin Johnson’s win at the WGC-Dell Match Play pulls him ahead of Jordan Spieth in this week’s odds update — and for good reason. It’s hard to bet against the World No. 1 when he’s won three straight events. After withdrawing from the Shell Houston Open this morning, he’s assured of carrying that win streak into the year’s first major championship.

But there’s reason to believe Jordan Spieth would still be quality money. He’s sat in the final group on Sunday each of the past three years in east Georgia, and had he not compounded his Amen Corner mistake at the 12th last year, he’d probably have a second green jacket in tow as he heads down Magnolia Lane this year. He’s already counting a win at Pebble Beach among his 2017 spoils. He’ll be a contender.

Looking to go a little further off the radar? Three-time winner this season Justin Thomas sits available at 30-to-1, with young Belgian star Thomas Pieters an option at 60-to-1.

Wanting to bet on Tiger Woods still? Don’t worry, you can still happily set your money on fire! He’s 100-to-1 to play — er, um — win. He’s 100-to-1 win. Sure!
